How can she love me
when she knows not love
the many experiences of hate
pain that never amounted
90% discounted the fate
while looking for
left abandoned
another way through faith
I understand the signs
and different ways
the heart takes on new shapes
to protect from another stray
or man that had less than
a heart to offer her
now again she'll have to wait
before she can open up the same
as in the first day
