You have stolen my heart
as I am hoping to continue
searching for the sunny skies
as the clouds pass by
I don't know where to turn
my feelings locked inside
as the hunger to express
grows deeper and deeper
after each poem I write
I send to you via email
but is that enough
a new door opened just for you
as I allow my heart to become overstuffed
by your response, honestly
and truly day by night
should I be afraid
or should I stop and fight
the urge I have when it comes to
understanding my wishes as they pertain to you
safely guarded as I wish only
